There are two major hurdles to renewing your PMP certification.
This can be quite a time-consuming process, and many people end up giving up on renewing their certification or suspending it.
In this article, I will discuss the recommended way to earn PDUs, how to claim PDUs, and provide examples of how to fill them out, based on my own experience, to help you overcome these two hurdles as easily as possible.

How to earn PDUs | Precautions when claiming

How many characters should you write?
Either way, you will need to fill in details of the content in the “Description” field. As for how many characters you should write, the CCR Handbook, which PMI uses to regulate certification renewal, does not specify any specific number, so any number of characters is fine. However, please note that the report form has a maximum length of 5,000 characters.
For reference, I generally fill out an report of around 500 characters (around 100 words), and my claim is accepted without any problems. I have never been selected for an audit.
Points to note when claiming PDUs for “Read”
The publications covered in the report are as follows:
Therefore, please note that reading material is not limited to “books.”
Although it is stated that the reading material is not limited to the above, it is best to avoid fictional books.
Describe the type of activity you completed, a summary about the knowledge you gained or helpful information that relates to one of the areas of the PMI Talent Triangle. Qualifying reading materials include (but are not limited to) informational, non-fiction books, articles, white papers, or blogs.
