PMP資格を更新するのには、以下の２つの壁あります。
これがなかなか手間がかかり、資格の更新をあきらめたりサスペンドしたりする方も多いのではないでしょうか。

PDU獲得方法としては以下の10種類があります。

英文の文字数（および単語数）
どの方法でも内容の詳細（「Description」）を記入することになります。
どのくらいの文字数を書けばよいかですが、CCRハンドブックでは特に規定はされていませんので何文字でもよいことになりますが、記入フォーム上、5000文字以内となっているので注意しましょう。
なお、参考までに著者は概ね500文字前後（100単語前後）で記入申請していますが、問題なく申請はとおっています。（監査にも選定されたことはありません。）
「読書」でPDUを申請する際の注意点
対象となる著書は以下です。
- 情報提供
- ノンフィクションの書籍
- 記事
- ホワイトペーパー
- ブログ
従って「本」以外も対象となります。
なお、対象は上記に限定されないと書かれてはいますが、内容がフィクションのものは避けた方がよいでしょう。
